“Fun stop between shops”

I have wanted to peek in and see this for years. Today was the perfect opportunity and we were very surprised. The natural exhibit was compsed of the personal collection of the Brookshire family safaris. Very nicely displayed and maintained. The general store was very nostalgic for mom and dad, especially the paperwrapped bread loaf.

“Family Fun for Free”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014 via mobile

Brookshires Grocery Co. is known for giving back to the community, but one of the nicest things they provide is the Brookshires Wildlife Museum and age-appropriate playgrounds free to the public. The museum is well kept and interesting. Especially for two little boys who like wild animals. The playground is so fun. And it is very clean! For a fun free outing in East Texas this is a sure thing.

“Great family fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

Stuffed animals, a history lesson, a park with a fire truck and a candy store! What more could you ask for? How about free admission because they have that too! Lots of fun for the whole family!

“Spring Break 2014”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

We were undecided about visiting this even after reading reviews. However, since it was free we decided we had nothing to loose. It was a good thing we did. We enjoyed the visit. It was amazing the amount of stuffed animals and the interesting exhibits. Many in our group enjoyed going through the old store and reminiscing about things we had seen when younger. The directions on our navigators was inaccurate, but we found it right away when looking at a regular map. It ends up is was very easy to find. I recommend adding this to you activities while in Tyler.

“So neat we came back again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2014

We just happened upon this place and we are so glad we did. We brought our daughter & she knew the majority of the animals. The gift shop has amazing prices. The people were so nice. We liked it so much my daughter wanted to come back again so we went again the very next week. The playground is also great! The best part is it is free. They also do free birthday parties!!!
