“A little slice of Heaven”
Reviewed November 5, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

So you, your wife, your son, your three dogs and Pa-Pop, and are on I-20 West heading to Irving, Texas.
You are on the run from the supposed storm of the century, Hurricane Irma. You've covered 1,200 miles since shuttering up your South West Florida home. Storm surge is predicted to destroy everything in your area within the next few hours when the gas pedal in your RV stops responding! You coast off exit 560, down a hill, and come to a stop at Lavender Road. The past few days have been emotional enough, so your wife goes to the bedroom to process. She stares out the window while you call Good Sam's and try to figure out where you all are going to stay with three dogs? Your wife shouts up, "There's an RV Park right down there!"

You walk over and find rows of wide, flat, pull through, full hook-up sites. On your way back to the RV, the site host, Dean pulls up in his truck and asks if you need help. By the time you get back, Dean has offered a tiny house and assured you a ride to wherever you need to go. There's satellite t.v. inside the fully furnished tiny home and despite all the storm forecasts of doom, your home-town is spared. Dean follows the wrecker to the mechanic he's located for you. Then he drives you the rental car agency. In the mean-time, all of your laundry gets done in the brand-new full-size washer and dryers. The showers are first rate too! You only stay 2 days but it feels like you've known Dean your whole life.

The Trails at Lavender Road IS the calm amongst your travelling storm. The hosts are your angels. And the tiny homes, rv sites, and top class amenities are your little slice of Heaven.
