Stayed recently in accessible mobility room & were very satisfied. Appreciated the multiple plug ins on both sides of king, non-smoking room. Reserved room under senior rate on internet. Clean, well organized, room with breakfast as usual for Hampton.

Room Tip: Back side of inn quiet

The rooms were clean, and quieter than I expected with outside doors.
The breakfast was ok,
The checkin person was very friendly and helpful, our rooms were not really close to each other and he realized that and changed our rooms to be as close together as he could get them without me having to ask. I was impressed he paid that much attention.
Overall a very good experience.

There is nothing really wrong with this Hampton Inn, but nothing that really distinguishes it either. The biggest problems to me are the exterior halls and the sprawling layout. It appears that this might have been an old Holiday Inn that has undergone extensive overhauls over the years but still retains the old Holiday Inn feel.

Because of the layout I had to push a luggage cart a long distance from the front entry, around to the back to access the elevator to get to the third floor where the room was located. Not a disaster but certainly not convenient. The exterior halls also caused rather cold walks to the fitness room and the lobby for breakfast.

The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Check-in and check-out were handled very quickly and professionally. No problems of any kind. The breakfast was large, clean, and fully stocked. Again no problems at all. The fitness room was also large and well equipped. While I didn't use it the indoor pool and spa looked nice.

The room was large and the furniture in good condition. But for some reason it was not inviting. I think perhaps the room was too large for the furniture and gave it the appearance of being under furnished. The desk was quite small and hard to work on. The flat screen TV was also too small for the room. The sink was in an alcove off the bedroom and was fine. The bathroom was tiny, the walk-in closet large.

The night before staying in Tyler I stayed at the Hampton Inn, North Little Rock, Arkansas. The room in Tyler was $116/night, North Little Rock was $125. But in North Little Rock I had a two room suite was a very large desk, dining table, much more substantial furniture. While I paid a few dollars I certainly received a lot more in return.

There must be a better place with more value for the money in Tyler than this Hampton Inn.

The meeting room was old and dirty; not set up according to agreement. Map layout for my guests was hard to read. Pool is inside, but this is a motel not a hotel. Housekeeping stole personal materials; staff was uncaring. I called four times before they said my daughter's purse was not there, although I KNOW it was! Breakfast was lacking, and staff waited ten minutes before bringing butter for my then-cold waffle. Morning clerk was flat out rude.I thought the manager and night clerk were personable, but that isn't enough to make us stay there again. We use meeting space in Tyler twice a year, but this won't be it!

This is a very nice property and holds up to the Hampton Inn level of high quality that I expect. Yes, the room doors are exterior-facing which is not typical for Hampton but that did not effect my overall positive experience. The hot breakfast was very good hot with plenty of variety and the staff was friendly and professional. I will return here again when I come back to Tyler. By the way, the kids used the indoor pool and they had a blast.

Hampton has done a good job giving this motel a true hotel feel. Updated all of the rooms and have made the lobby/breakfast area nice. Located in good part of town and near a lot of restaurants.

Pros:

Location
Quality of Room is really nice
Spacious Bathrooms
Clean Sheets and Comforters
Extremely Safe, especially having outward facing rooms
Front Staff was nice and remembered you by name. It may sound like a small detail, but that goes a long way.

Cons:
It is still a motel style. Rooms facing outward. Still Extremely Safe Though.
Breakfast was ok, some of the stuff was stale (bagels, toast)

Will definitely stay here again!
