I requested a room opposite any busy street. They assigned me a room near the pool. The hotel does not have inside corridors so the door and windows are directly exposed the parking lot and streets. On a Saturday morning the garbage truck empties two dumpsters with all of the back up horns and associated banging at 4:42 a.m. Yes, it was 4:42 A.M. When I asked the front desk staff they all were aware of this as an ongoing occurring event. When Ms. Schoolfield (GM) talked with me she indicated this as a regular problem and nothing she could do about it. The rooms in this Hampton look like other Hampton hotels, but the outside is not even close to the Hampton brand. The morning breakfast was similar to Hampton but it was clear they were trying to save money with what was available. A bad experience that I won't experience again.

My wife and I stay at this hotel every time we visit her family inTyler, Texas. We were pleasently surprised to find the hotel compl, etely remodeled when we checked in on Christmas Eve, 2011. The decorator who planned the remodel deserves an award for design. This hotel can now be categorized as beautiful, although it is still in the basic configuration as all Hampton Inns. Our room was perfect, 42" HDTV, Microwave, Refridgerator, terrific large bathroom, free hot breakfast. Everything you could possibly need, including an iron and board! The second floor has a guest laundry with washers and dryers for customer use. I should also mention that the hotel has a private business center room stocked with computers and printers for guest use anytime, day or night! Cleanliness everywhere it top notch! This is one of the best Hampton Inns in the Hilton chain. Trust me on this since I've stayed in many of them. And, another plus is that the staff is wonderfully typical Texas friendly! There are several resteraunts within a short walking distance. The hotel is just off US Route 20 and the exit for Tyler/Lindale exit for HWY 69. Extremely convenient and easy to see from Route 20. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone and for any purpose.

Room Tip: Always get a corner room since they are the largest. And, always ask for a room on the second or thi...

The staff was warm and welcoming, and the lobby is well appointed. The corridors are on the building's exterior, making it more like a motel. The room was very clean with all the amenities expected of Hampton Inns. Good location with lots of restaurants and shopping close. Overall a real value.

Stayed here one night while on business. I have a personal preference for hotels with indoor corridors and this is one of the few remaining Hamptons with exterior corridors/room entrances. For that reason, it loses one “dot” out of the potential 5 in my rating system. So, if exterior corridors do not bother you, feel free to “add a dot” to the rating.

This is a very nice motel with updated rooms – mine was very clean and everything was in good working order. I had a King and the room was very spacious with a comfortable bed. One comment regarding the bathroom – the toilet and shower are in a separate room – the sink and counter are an extension of the bedroom. The toilet is very small, to accommodate the small room it is in and to allow the door to open and close. Nothing really bad, just a little unusual. The water pressure in the shower was fine and plenty hot. Towels were average thickness. Great tv channel selection. Internet seemed to come and go a little bit – it always looked like I had a good signal, but things worked a lot more slowly sometimes.

This place has great service – at least on the night I was there. Amber is a great front desk clerk, greeting guests with a smile and welcoming attitude. They offer a cold beer or bottled water and cookies in the lobby in the late afternoon/evening.

There is a relatively small pool – square in shape – not great for swimming laps if you are so inclined and a tiny hot tub that was nice and hot! There is a workout room and a business center, but I did not use either. Breakfast was very typical Hampton – those pre-made cheese omelet things and sausage patties, along with other typical fare.

Overall, this is a great motel, considering it has exterior corridors and if that’s okay with you going in, you can’t go wrong here. However, I will probably stay at another place that has interior corridors next time. There are some good dining options very close and many more within a 5 to 10 minute drive.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms along the parking lot are the 100 series and even numbered 200 series – it is bui...

Nothing special about this hotel, but nothing bad either. If you need a room that is clean and comfortable but with no frills, this is it. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. Fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast was good, for what it was, with lots of choices. The only negative I have is that the A/C was noisy. I believe it was a water cooler type because you could hear the water running at night in it. It bothered me, my husband couldn't hear it.

Arrived and was in my room in 5 minutes. Front desk was friendly. Room was clean and well stocked with towels and supplies (shampoo/conditioner). Bed was EXCEPTIONAL! As comfortable at home, which is almost unbelievable for a hotel. Indoor pool was nice, as was hot tub. Only gripes were the "business center". The computers were a joke, and didn't really provide any connectivity to the internet. Of course this is no problem cause you did have internet, wired and wireless in your room for your stay. Remote to TV was pretty bad, and the TV programming wasn't that great. Not so much the hotel's fault, but that could be better. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The room was cleaned daily and smelled fresh from the time I got there to the time I left. Highly recommended this hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms for this hotel. I almost didn't stay here as I do not like hotels with exterior entrances. But, I wanted to stay with the Hilton family and decided to give it a shot. The rooms were as nice as any Hampton inn room- flat screen tv and updated countertops and fixtures.
I had a few issues with the room, but the manager, Nancy, was quick to respond. The service at the front desk was wonderful. I would stay here again.
