Very reasonably priced with home cooked flavor..... too bad the location is not the best...the proximity to the railroad tracks make it kind of cumbersome....

We took my dad here on a Saturday for Father's Day lunch and the first thing we did was reserve our dessert! Everything is so fresh. If they have the enchiladas... Get them!

Open only for lunch, this wonderful stable in Tomball, Texas is THE place to be seen. The sandwiches on homemade bread (chicken salad is to die for) are gourmet fare as is the quiche (with secret ingredient hash browns). When you order, plan on dessert or you will not get the whole benefit of eating lunch at the Whistle Stop. From triple layer chocolate cake (baked fresh) to my favorite, the Pina Colada Cake (embellished with whipped cream frosting sprinkled with coconut).

If you are into doing lunch ladies, this lovely, established, Tomball landmark is one that you will come back to again and again.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The tortilla soup is my favorite. The tea is also great. Wonderful!!

This is a regular place for Saturday lunches for us. The food is great, but you must save room for dessert. I've not had anything that wasn't fabulous, but my personal favorite is the bread pudding! Do get there early because it gets crowded fast and there isn't a lot of room in the waiting area.
