We stayed here four nights for a wedding and we really enjoyed it. Our room was big and had a great view over the lake. It was a great decadence to call and be picked up in golfcarts to go to the pool. Is was not more than a five min walk. The pool was great and the food by the pool was good and reasonably priced.
We had breakfast there one day and it was a great buffe with lots to choose from.
We stayed in the Forest Lake Guest Rooms. Only bad thing was the birds outside started making noise early in the morning, but we slept with earplugs and problem gone.

This resort is set amongst a golf course and wooded areas with running/hiking trails. It offers various types of accomodations. I stayed for 2 nights for business. Meeting space was nice and open, and the food served in the main restaurant was incredibly good. The property is very well maintained and clean.

Downside, is some of the rooms are a bit dated and they were oversold so a colleague of mine was given a room with only a pull out couch, yet he was charged full price for the room...and they didn't bother to tell him at check in. This to spite having a reservation months in advance with a meeting group of over 200....leads me to downgrade this hotel one notch from excellent as this is a management issue.

Visit now, because it only gets better from here on out*.

We came in for a family wedding, accompanied by our two tots, and all four of us had a smashing good time every day, all day.

The Forest Oasis portion of the grounds encompasses multiple pools, a splash pad, wading pool, and a two-story swirly water slide. The cafe there serves beverages and food as well, and is an excellent place for a reception where guests can quickly opt to take a dip in the heated or unheated pools and hot tub. Additionally, there is a fire pit on one end for when the temps get cooler (if they ever do).

*Word on the street is they are soon starting a major remodel which will add a lazy river around the Forest Oasis. Yes, please!

The main lobby and conference center is a mere three minute walk from surrounding accommodations, and the Dining Room provides simply decadent breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Oh, and the coffee.... swoon.

We took our kids on an exploring adventure around the grounds which took up about 90 minutes, including walks along the lakeside decks to see the turtles, cranes, and fish. However, if we ever got tired, a service phone and golf cart was never far away.

My mother's wedding was beautiful and featured a gorgeous setting and luxurious space for the reception on the outside deck. I can't even talk about the food - from apps to cake, it was all amazing and I'll be dieting from the effects for the next two weeks.

I also have to give full props to the staff - to the man/woman, every single one was smiling, pleasant, and more than willing to help us at every turn.

Room Tip: If you have kids, head straight to the Forest Oasis - if you get a ground-level room facing the pool...

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend in March. Quick get a way, but felt like it was much further than it actually was. I had been here for a conference a few years ago and was less than impressed. This time It was like a completely different place, rooms were clean and new. Staff were warm and friendly, the pool was great, golf course (even in march) was in great shape. An all around great stay for the wife, four year old and I! Can't wait to come back.

The stay was just ok. The lines for the breakfast was too long and the front desk was rude.
The took the balance of my bill at the time of check out but kept a hold on my account for a week. When I called to complain the girl at the front desk hung up on me. The manager just said to call back in a few days. Sad.... no customer service. ..

I liked where it was located. Very peaceful.
The air conditioning did not work very well in our room nor the heat. I tried to communicate that I did not need my room cleaned, but she spoke no English to tell me there was a miscommunication about our checkout day. If there was an emergency how on earth could they communicate this to you...

Second visit here and my comments are the same an excellent place to stay, we stayed at the Fir which is very close to the lagoon pool which is not frequented much as everyone tends to go to the main pools. Which was excellent for us, all you had to do was press the intercom and order your drinks, towels were also supplied, the hot tub was great as well. Accommodation was great, clean and all one could wish for in a room. Food and service was excellent nothing bad to comment on here, shuttle Bus was great that took you to the mall or to market street. They are doing a $90 million refurb this year so cannot wait to see that upon out return.
