We had heard the food was great - but unfortunately, we never got an opportunity to try it in order to decided it what we heard was true or not! Checked in at Hostess Desk and was told wait was 1.5 hours. No problem - went to bar for a cocktail (servers here were good, cocktails tasty) and then shopped at Tommy Bahama for a while. Checked backed in at Hostess Desk at 1.5 hours and was initially told "we quoted you 1 and 1/2 hours and its only been an hour and 25 minutes". Thought they were joking - but they weren't. They were serious and cranky. We asked how many people are still left in front of us and were told that we were next. Great! But then watched them seat 2 parties who arrived after us. Apparently, asking how much longer we had to wait had effectively screwed our chance of actually getting a table at this restaurant. When we approached them to ask why we we skipped they were rude and uniterested. We'd had enough - we didn't care how good the food could be at this restaurant - it wasn't worth the effort in wrangling with the Hostess Desk Staff.

Great atmosphere, charming decor, very good service, and a super menu. Many excellent items on their menu from appetizers to soups, sandwiches, etc...but be sure you don't miss the Grouper sandwich. Didn't bother with the bread as the fish was soooo good!

This is the place to be if you are looking for delicious food, great presentations, and an atmosphere that is fabulous. Do NOT miss eating in the glassed "gazebo". There is not a bad seat in the house however. The bar is just the place to start the evening off and the atmosphere sets the tone for a special celebrations or meeting friends. The main dining area is perfectly lit and each booth has a very private feel. Who ever designed this restaurant certainly included all of the features one would desire. When weather allows take advantage of eating outdoors under the umbrellas while looking out onto "The Green" where you can enjoy the sport of people watching. Selection of wines and drinks are vast and award winning. But let me not digress. The main reason to go to this fab restaurant is the food. The selections include something for all tastes but you will not find a single dish that does not surpass your expectations. There are so many selections to try but please if you are a fish fanatic as I am do start with Tommy's Big Fish. The sides and salads are unsurpassed. The dessert menu offers many tempting plates that you will not find on any other menu in any restaurant and all are scrumptious. I do not believe you will have room for dessert but puhleez take one home (get two forks-they are huge) grab a great book, small drink and top off your night. Reservations are suggested. This place has a large following!

Sorry folks this has now changed to an upscale burger joint... not cheap.
Still great service and location is great but now lacks the spark that it once had. We were in for dinner and were dismayed with the selection of main courses which we had been touting to our out of town guests.

Tommy Bahama's in The Woodlands, Texas offers a variety of great appetizers and entree's that are awesome. Their Crab Cake Appetizers are some of the best you will ever put in your mouth. You could probably close your eyes and point to an entree on their menu and never be disappointed. But if you occasionally like to eat Pork Baby Back Ribs, then this is your choice. You will not be disappointed. The full rack is a lot to handle but you can always bring some home for tomorrow. The 1/2 rack will be so good that you will wish you had ordered the full rack anyway, so go for it. It is worth it. Their service is excellent and they offer outside dining with a great view of Market Street shoppers doing their thing. Tommy's is a must stop if you are spending some time in The Woodlands. They get busy, so reservations are recommended for night time dining. ENJOY!!!!
