I visited Tommy Bahama's on Market Street with clients. It's the typical Tommy Bahama restaurant attached to the store, although it seems larger than others I've been to. It has a great sunken bar, and was doing a brisk business mid-afternoon on weekday.
The highlights for us were the Trout Dip and the Cuban Sandwich. The burgers were also quite good. They like coconut here, so you'll find it all over the menu, which I guess is fine, but the idea of a coconut crusted crab cake didn't hold much appeal to anyone at my table. The prices seem a bit high considering the pedestrian nature of most of the food, but then again, it's The Woodlands.
It was a cool day, and they had no problem firing up the heaters on the patio for us so we could smoke cigars outside after our meal. There's a very nice large common area (lawn) behind the restaurant, which would be a great place to let kids play during Sunday Brunch.
Overall we enjoyed the place. It's a nice example of the Tommy Bahama chain.
