Our group of work buddies had a cupcake crawl where we went to several cupcake bakeries in the area - Frost, Gigi's, and Forest Cafe. In the end, Gigi's won because they had over-the-top service and a good offering of cupcakes. Frost did not compete. We had lunch at Forest Cafe at the end of the crawl. They were slammed on a Wednesday at 12:45. We waited and waited, even just to get some soup. It was bad. It was clear they don't handle large crowds very well. The food, on the other hand was awesome. The vegetable beef soup was the best I've ever had. The sandwich was also good. The cupcakes were far superior to either Frost or Gigi's, but the service caused them to loose the battle. If you see a big crowd, RUN! Otherwise, go on in and enjoy some great home-made tasting food.
