“Great staff, great experience”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for Ironman Texas. The hotel was great about having bikes in and out, and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They let me check in early, were genuinely interested in the race, and wished me luck before. The staff asked how the race went and how I was feeling afterwards. They all seemed to make an effort to know who I was, and I felt like they would help me with absolutely anything if I asked. The room was very spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable and the tv got a ridiculous number of channels.

What a great place to stay. Close to everything, our business location, shopping, restaurants and the airport. Clean, good bed, friendly staff made this a great stay for 3 days. Only fault was the pair of socks we found under the bed while we were trying ti figure out where all the m & M's were coming from under the bed. No one's fault that some one threw the m & m's under the bed, but that no one caught it during cleaning...well not the worst thing either. I would definitely stay again! The breakfast was served and was fresh and good coffee.

Stayed here earlier in 2013. The staff helped make the trip excellent, in particular the breakfast staff. Fresh coffee in lobby at all times was great and a permanent cleaning presence (all were incredibly welcoming and friendly) made sure the hotel was spotless at all times.

I'd certainly stay here again.

Heated pool is freezing! But it was still very usable and clean.

I was attending a dinner dance at Marriott Waterway in the Woodlands. They offered a room rate of 299. Way too much for a far flung suburb of Houston, I thought, though I have stayed at that Marriott before. This hotel came up as about 1 mile from there. I could not have been happier with my choice. It was 1/2 the price, included a hot breakfast, was beautiful inside, both the lobby and rooms, and the staff was genuinely nice and friendly, much easier parking, and free in room wifi.

The decor is a take on mid century modern and was quite striking and beautiful. My room was also beautiful and looked brand new. I had a nice view of greenery and forest which was quite lovely. The free breakfast included cooked to order omlettes, pancakes, waffles, blueberries, raspberries along with cold cereal, juices, bagels, Danish, yoghurt and so on. We asked the front desk staff to take our photo before we went out, and they did with a real smile. I forgot my toothbrush, and was expecting to pay $4. for a new one. NO!! They had a complimentary one!

Tip: room includes a microwave

Tip: room includes a small refrigerator

Tip: in room coffee maker

Tip: multiple daily newspapers in the lobby.

Attended a business meeting while the place was undergoing renovations. The meeting was interrupted a few times with loud noises, but the staff was apologetic. Overall, they were very accommodating and pleasant, anticipating our group's needs.

The room numbers were just papers taped to the doors. (Luckily nobody decided to pull a prank and switch them because like all hotel hallways, it's very generic, and an entire platoon of guests would have descended on the front desk for assistance.) There must be a better practice for temporary remodeling in the hotel industry for properties undergoing remodeling while guests are present.

The staff tried their best. My room was very clean and comfortable.

The bar in the hotel had not yet been finished during our stay, so we were offered complimentary beverages and a fruit and cheese tray in the lobby, but unfortunately it lacked atmosphere and was not conducive to hang out and chat.

Convenient location with plenty to buy or eat within walking distance. During the time my group was there we dined at a fabulous Mexican restaurant, and lunched at a Mongolian grill. I was very impressed with the quality of the food at these nearby places.

My husband is a HiltonHonor member and made reservations here 8 months ago for the weekend of ironman in may 2013. They CANCELLED his reservations today, then LIED and said they don't know how it happened. when he asked to rebook the reservation they said that they were already overbooked and would not be able to take his reservation. Shame on Hilton! That's a horrible way to treat your HiltonHonor members.
