“A walk in the woods”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Lots of trails and a new bridge that connects the side on Flintridge and Creekside. At the right time of year you can see various birds. Could use more parking on the Flintridge side.
Also bring water as there are no fountains. A fun walk or bike ride with family and friends.

“Into the Woods”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Woodlands has nearly 200 miles of fantastic well shaded paths that meander throughout the area. But if you want to get a little more into the woods, head over to George Mitchell Nature Preserve. It's a beautiful walk and the trails are longer than I expected. Be sure to keep track of which side trail you wandered off on. :) There are several entry points and several paths that cross over each other.

“Peaceful hike in the middle of The Woodlands”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

On several occasions I've taken my dog for a hike along the various woodland trails (always on a leash). Trails are well marked and the scenery can't be beat if you want a get away from suburbia. Good areas exist near Spring Creek for bird watching. Very peaceful/ serene.

“Getting Crowded”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

So glad to have natural hike and bike options in The Woodlands. We just need another 3-4 of these parks to keep the volume of visitors down.

“Very Peaceful, Well Maintained Nature Preserve”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

I have lived very close to this Preserve for quite sometime and never realized it was there. They have done a great job at keeping it very well maintained and sectioned off. The walking trails are 2 miles long and the biking trails are 3 miles long.

It's a great place for a romantic walk and/or just to get lost in the beautiful piney woods. There are several lake paths along with places to sit. This definitely beats walking around the neighborhood and is a nice place to enjoy a hike. Enjoy!
