“Great place!”
Reviewed May 19, 2012 via mobile

This place was great! The atmosphere & service were really great - and the food did not disappoint. Great ingredients, well prepared & lots of choices too. Absolutely delicious! Anytime I go to The Woodlands - I'm planning my new ritual to stop here & try something else from their menu.

“High quality food in a market environment”
Reviewed April 27, 2012

The Hubble & Hudson market has been a treat of a gourmet grocery store in The Woodlands for a few years now. However, in the past year they have opened up the Hubble & Hudson Kitchen on Research Forest near Gosling Road. When I first saw the sign I thought it was for cooking lessons or a place where they prepare a lot of foods that they sell at their gourmet grocery store. Our friends said, “no, it is a restaurant plus a smaller sized version of the gourmet grocery store”. The first thing that hits you is that there is lots of parking in their parking lot, quite a departure from their main store. Once you go in you pick up a large (12” x 24”) two sided menu which gives you an amazing variety of choices. You move along a cafeteria style line, where I understand that you can pick out specific cuts of meat etc. if you want to, until you get to the cashier where your order is taken. The core of their menu is varieties of hamburgers including those of Kobe Beef, Bison, Lamb as well as regular beef with various sauces etc. With the hamburgers are fries, steak fries, sweet potato fries and Truffle Oil Parmesan Cheese Fries (all of which are great). For those not interested in burgers or other items on their menu, there is a large salad bar with two sizes of salad plates for you to fill up what you want (including a choice of 4 different kinds of Humus as an example of the variety). Beverages range from self serve Ice Tea (4 varieties to choose from) to various sodas. They also have a draft beer counter and because the gourmet grocery store is a part of the restaurant, you can buy a bottle of wine there. They have protected outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. The food is top quality and definitely the drawing card. The atmosphere is basic as it is attached to the store and line of people waiting to order.

The other great thing is that you can get any of the food “to go” including buying things from their store so if you feel like eating a high quality meal, cooked by others, just stop by on your way home.

“Best Salad Bar in Town”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

I shop regularly at Hubbell and Hudson and was overjoyed when Hubbell and Hudson Kitchen opened near my home. My family is on a very limited diet so there aren't a lot of places that we can pop in and out of to grab a bite. I have had their burgers there and they are yummy and the buns are delicious, but we really go back there for the Salad Bar. It is around 5.00 for a small bowl, but the bowls are not small at all. It is enough to fill up my husband. I like that they don't charge you by the lb. and there are a lot of options of meats, veggies, a variety of hummus, and dressings. I usually get a cup of soup too and their tomato basil soup is out of this world. You can also buy pints of soup to go from their refrigerated section. The restaurant is always clean and you can dine in or outside on the patio. There is a small grocery inside too. I will be a repeat customer for years to come.
