The place is beautiful inside and it also has a nice outside terrace with a view of the waterfalls and park. We enjoy coming here because of the ambiance - the food is good but not great.

We had reservations but stood for several minutes before anyone was at the hostess stand to acknowledge us. We were seated outside and it was cold. We waited over 20 minutes with no water or bread before our waiter told us he didn't know we were his table. Once he realized we were, he was efficienct but he was just too busy to provide anything other than perfunctory service. Food was fine, but nothing to warrant the fairly high prices. Sad to report this because we were celebrating a special night and it just wasn't a special place.

Mixed bag on the food. Grouper special that three had was "OK", my lobster ravioli was excellent. Mixed seafood appetizer was missing the listed "white anchovies" no explanation given. Complementary bread and pesto dipping sauce brought to the table was very good. And, they will bring more. The waiter suggested I use it to sop up the lobster ravioli sauce. Spot on!
Service is more than adequate, so decent marks there. Wine list is surprisingly limited, but you'll get by. The dining room is very attractive, but on the small side, nice patio with super view of the waterway. Definitely go for that when the weather is nice. Street parking in the immediate vicinity is tough to come by and the valet is $8. You know you're going to tip the guy too when he brings the car, so count on $10 to park. All in all the highs outweighed the lows on this first visit, so we'll likely give it another try when the weather is warmer. Maybe the cold weather knocked them off their game?

I've been to Luca & Leonardo before and had a great steak. Tonight, my husband and I were hoping for a repeat meal but the steaks were not flavorful at all. It was a Saturday night, a decent crowd (a lot of large parties) but no waiting! We did have a reservation and were seated promptly. Great wait staff, not overly attentive but responsive. Quite disappointed in the food this time. Steaks were very tender (I had filet, husband had ribeye) just not flavorful. Nothing special about the sides (spinach parmigiana and Parmesan mashed potatoes) .... Location, wait staff, atmosphere and prompt seating give it three stars. Pricey for the quality of food.

Although Really Expensive, This is well worth the cost of the meal. This Italian cuisine restaurent is set right in the heart of The Woodlands Mall, but off enough to make you think that you are in a little piece of heaven. We were fortunate enough to pick a night that was not busy and sat outside on the patio overlooking the plaza with multiple trees, still decorated with Christmas lights, numerous waterfalls with ever changing colors and the canal where I was told they have boats travel. We did not see any but I can imagine it would remind you a little of Venice, not the romance of Venice however.

The food was great. The wait staff was attentive and polite.
