White tablecoths, waiters dressed like real waiters, outstanding Italian food - in a strip mall? In Texas? Yes, indeed. My lady's birthday yesterday so the two of us plus our daughter and two dear friends descended on Via Emilia. As usual, outstanding carpaccio, plus bacon-wrapped dates as appetizers. The calamari were not so good - but once we commented, they were comped. Great wine list - my lady saw a wine she liked but told waiter was a little too pricey so we would need to pick something else. Five seconds later he's back with a $10 price reduction - unasked! Main courses good as always, tender duck, outstanding lobster ravioli, wonderful fresh fish, perfect squid ink pasta - not always on the menu but even if it isn't the kitchen will prepare it if you ask. Truly a great, family owned and operated, Italian restaurant. An unexpected find in The Woodlands where mediocre chains are prevalent.
