Description: The Goose's Acre Irish Pub stood on Main Street, Midleton, Ireland, immediately in front of "The Goose's Acre," a historical landmark named by locals where geese gaggles grazed in the 1800's. The pub opened in 1886 and was handed down from father to son through the years. In 2005, the pub was forced to close to make way for new development. While back in Ireland visiting relations, Brian Young and Colm O'Neill proposed purchasing the contents of the pub, to include both bars, from the previous owner who was distraught over the pending loss of the pub's history and heritage. Although it meant shipping the pub across the Atlantic Ocean, the previous owner was ecstatic that The Goose's Acre Irish Pub would continue its traditions of bygone times. Brian Young and Colm O'Neill made the decision to bring this authentic pub to The Woodlands to share the romance and history of years past. We welcome you to pull up a chair and enjoy the experience of The Woodlands only authentic European Pub. You'll find Happy Hour (all day long!), a traditional yet inventive bar and dining menu, the best drinks a most a truly irreplicable Irish Pub feel with the beautiful, hardwood fixtures and original furnishings.

We walked by this pub and decided to try the restaurant. The Pub itself is nicely decorated. We ate downstairs and had a view of the waterway.
We decided that since this was an irish pub that we would try an "Irish" dish. We ordered the Shepherd's Pie. It comes in a small casserole dish for $12.95. It looks like a can of Alpo dog food topped with baked potatoes that have been smashed with a fork. The only ingredient you could taste was the sodium. I found one small chunk of beef. We left here and went directly to the McDonald's drive thru
Go here for a beer, but stay clear of the food!

This is one of our favorite places to toss back a Blue Moon and relax after a day at the office. It's smoke free inside until 10:00 pm, service is always fast and friendly and almost all the food choices are good. It’s a bit quieter upstairs than down. Seating is available inside or out by the Waterway. On nice evenings, the outside tables are hard to come by so come early or reserve. I'm partial to the seared tuna dinner (but they still ask how I want that cooked LOL) and the side salad has loads of veggies, nuts and other goodies. It's almost a meal in itself. I keep suggesting that they offer a larger version, but no luck yet. Some weekends they have bands and occasionally they have the Irish dancers which is a treat if you’ve never seen them perform. Expect huge crowds on St. Patty’s Day and a cover charge.
