Description: The Goose's Acre Irish Pub stood on Main Street, Midleton, Ireland, immediately in front of "The Goose's Acre," a historical landmark named by locals where geese gaggles grazed in the 1800's. The pub opened in 1886 and was handed down from father to son through the years. In 2005, the pub was forced to close to make way for new development. While back in Ireland visiting relations, Brian Young and Colm O'Neill proposed purchasing the contents of the pub, to include both bars, from the previous owner who was distraught over the pending loss of the pub's history and heritage. Although it meant shipping the pub across the Atlantic Ocean, the previous owner was ecstatic that The Goose's Acre Irish Pub would continue its traditions of bygone times. Brian Young and Colm O'Neill made the decision to bring this authentic pub to The Woodlands to share the romance and history of years past. We welcome you to pull up a chair and enjoy the experience of The Woodlands only authentic European Pub. You'll find Happy Hour (all day long!), a traditional yet inventive bar and dining menu, the best drinks a most a truly irreplicable Irish Pub feel with the beautiful, hardwood fixtures and original furnishings.

This is a really unique pub right on the Waterway at he the Town Center. It is two story with the street level being like an old timey pub with quick service and a nice atmosphere. Downstairs is a big place with a DJ and a small dance floor with lots of frolicking going on. The night we went was busy after a local concert. They made a point of playing music from the event that made it a lot of fun.

The wait staff is odd though clothed in anything from flapper dresses and feathers to polo shirts and khaki pants. Despite having lots of waitress we had to beg for service after waiting 45 minutes only to find out the kitchen had just closed. They do have a great outdoor seating space, very scenic and with lots of room and people watching to keep ourselves amused. So despite some bad service I am willing to give the place another try because of the fun factor.

Goose's Acre service is way below par. Every time we go we seem to have poor service. Our last visit, we had 2 waiters and the place was very dead, with maybe 4 tables used. We waited 45 minutes for sandwiches and then once we asked for our check, we waited another 20 minutes because we had to reask for our check even when we had 2 waiters. Neither came and checked on us in those 20 minutes. The food was not worth the time or money for that matter. Needless to say, we wont be back any time soon, if ever. Hopefully they can get some wait staff that actually want to work and earn a tip.

We discvovered this gem , 2 years ago . It was our 3rd date as a couple, after a great movie experience we were in search of the toper of a great evening. We walked along the water way amoungst other young couples, taking in the unique ambiance. With our apetites growing, we came upon a hidden cove, old world pub with a real working full kitchen. We ordered the fruit platter and bit off more than we could chew, for theprice the platter deliveried fresh cheese, aromatic fresh cut fruit pineapple, melon, honeydew, and strawbeerrys. fresh white grapes made us feel like a Roman Aristocrat. we had a lite supper after that wonderful respite. I ordered Fish and Chips, with a side of three(3) apple coleslaw, the blend of flavors sweet ,bitter, and crisp. My mate ordered Pasta feetachinni(i apologies about my misspelling) with grilled chicken tastes, had us both fat full and happy.

Love the pizza, love the choices of beer, love the outside dining, love the street floor booths, love the salad, love the daily specials. Two thumbs up for keeping the smoke smell non-existent during the day from the 10pm nightly crowd. We watched this place being built and have enjoyed it ever since.
