If you want a nice steak and a bar where you can still enjoy a cigar you have found it. I usually dine in the bar so i can eat and smoke a stogie which they sell or you can bring your own.

I've dine at to Kirby's Steakhouse several times. This restaurant is by far the best steakhouse in the Woodlands, TX...from the 22 oz. "Cowboy Cut" to more manageable size steaks, chops and seafood dishes. The restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere and elegant service. In recent years, they have attracted larger corporate functions but the service has not suffered.

Cocktails are reasonably priced but the extensive wine list is pricey. The Kirby Sommelier may be of assistance. Entre's are $40 - $$75.

Dinner reservations are a must, even early during the weekday. Valet parking is free and the parking lot double stacks to accommodate all.

Kirby's...what can I say except it is excellent. A bit removed from the busy scene immediately prior to the mall, Kirbys's gives you a great feeling when you walk in - the huge fire pit going, the hushed and upscale atmosphere. They make their own salad dressings and the blue cheese is the best I've ever eaten. Steaks? Unbelievably good. I prefer this to Flemings and Perry's, two other fine steakhouses in our town. Loved the night when i got there early, it was still before the dinner crowd came in, and watched as wait staff polished each glass on every table to perfection. Kirby's is expensive, but worth every dollar when you bite into their food. A great place for a special family occasion.

Good steak, slow service, a bit over priced for the quality. Had a dinner for four, good not great. This place says, "I am as good Ruth's Chris" but in reality, they have a long way to go. It was a good meal, well presented and well prepared but agonizingly slow service and a very gabby waiter. I would not go back if I were after an upper level quality meal.

Booked a table at Kirby's for Valentine's day and really wasn't sure about trying a new (to me) steakhouse. But a friend recommended we go together so I bit the bullet. Well, it turned out GREAT. All was top notch from the food to the service. The fixed price Valentines Dinner had a variety of good choices. My wife had their Salmon (medium) and I went tor the 10 oz. Filet (medium rare) in the Peppercorn sauce. All was perfect.

Regarding service - on the busiest day of the year, one always worries about being left too long - or being rushed through the meal. Timing was just right. Our waiter was attentive but did not hover or rush us. The timing of each course was ideal with each remove at the proper time.
All in all, an excellent meal and very relaxing and enjoyable.
