We usually get a couple of egg rolls and some lunch plates. The price is very decent .They serve fast and place is clean. I wouldn't say the best Chinese restaurant I ever had, but they do good job . The place seems always busy which is very good at this location. I am happy some business do good in Texas city. I just hope they will keep up .

Thank MM R

This is an out of the way place that was recommended by my barber. Located in a small strip center with very little curb appeal I didn't expect much. To my surprise you can get a lunch with fried rice, soup (or egg roll), and a choice of 34 entrees for less than $6. The place is crowded, noisy with six or so tables and 3-4 booths. There were three of us in our party and with five minutes of sitting down a young man was standing with menus and was back shortly to take our orders.
When I saw there were 34 possible entrée selections I immediately thought these must be frozen dinners. I was happily wrong and each of us tried something different and were all pleased with what was served. I selected pepper shrimp and on the menu it warned that it was spicy. It had 8-10 medium shrimp cooked in a bean sauce with onions, bell pepper, and what looked like chopped jalapeno peppers. Along with the entrée was a large portion of hot fried rice with a side dish containing an egg roll. The entrée was served hot (which I like) and while spicy still had a very pleasing flavor with the shrimp also having a good consistency The fried rice was very good and was full of different vegetables. The portions were very geneorous and I wound up with enough left over for another lunch.
One of my dining companions had the sweet and sour chicken and reported it was tasty and went well with a warm plum sauce that was served. The other diner order shrimp and vegetables and was pleased with her entrée. They also had enough left to reheat for another meal. The only thing that was just ok were the egg rolls, they did not have a lot of taste and were heavily over-salted. Still for the price this was an enjoyable lunch and a real bargain.
The lunch is served from 11AM-3PM for $5.85 and dinner is $7.25, both very economical and well worth the price.. There is also a selection of ala carte items that can be ordered. I didn't see anything on the ala carte menu that was over $5. There were several chef specialties that featured seafood or chicken and were less than $15. There is also a large take-out menu, all reasonably priced.
If you are looking for a place with a lot of ambience or elegant surroundings this isn't the place. But if you want good food at bargain prices I highly recommend Qing Qing. I am already thinking about my next visit I'll most likely have the almond chicken or the shrimp with lobster sauce, but one thing for sure is that it will be in the very near future.
