We stopped here due to the reviews on this website
and we needed a place for the night. I am very picky about the hotels we stay at. This one did not disappoint. It is very neat and clean. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was really good. We will probably make this our hotel to stay at when we drive to Harlingen from Ohio from now on.

My wife and I recently stayed in the Fairfield Inn & Suites Texarkana for a leisure trip to a family reunion in a nearby town. The lobby, rooms and breakfast areas were very clean and well maintained. The staff went out of their way to be genuinely friendly and helpful.
We have stayed at other Marriott properties in the area and they were just OK compared to the Fairfield. By far, this is the best option in Texarkana and the least expensive based on what I was looking for.
The breakfast was very good and fresh. Biscuits and Gravy made were very good as well as the Continental breakfast items provided. The fact that it is a free breakfast was an even bigger bonus. Staff in the breakfast area were very helpful and friendly.
Indoor saltwater pool was a very nice touch. Location of hotel is kind of tucked away off of a one-way access road but well worth the few minutes extra to find it. It is close to lots of shopping and eateries as well.
It hard to imagine this is not a full service Marriott based on service and accommodations, but you won't miss the extra costs of the full service Marriott either.

Room Tip: Rooms on the west side face the dealership and they leave bright lights on all night, but the hotel...

Thank you for your response; the staff here at our Fairfield Inn & Suites appreciate hearing about our guests' stays.

We are glad that you enjoyed our complimentary hot breakfast. Even though it is above our brand's standards, Marriott will be upgrading all Fairfield's breakfasts items at the beginning of 2013. Here at our property, we implement rigorous cleaning procedures to maintain our property's great facilities, to keep them looking great for our valued customers.

Hopefully when you are back to visit your family, you will think of us here again and we look forward to your next visit in the Texarkana area.

Recently we stayed at the Fairfield in Texarkana, Texas. Not only was this hotel spotless, the rooms were like they had just been built, everything was so clean you felt like you had cleaned them yourself. And, the front desk staff was so efficient, check-in took all of about 1 minute and you had your keys, your upgraded room, your point rewards for being a silver or gold member, and you were at the elevator. And the staff smiled and really made you feel like they were glad you were there. The manager is a total gem. She did a manager's reception with free beer, wine, pizza, salad and sodas that she herself was at. She even served the wine and beer and met everyone and talked to them. It was unbelievable. And, at breakfast, although it was the same fare that they serve at all Marriotts, the tables were all set with real china plates, cups, and silverware, like you were in a fancy restaurant. It was so nice and made us feel like we were in a real high class restaurant. The breakfast was also spotless, clean, and well made. Staying at this hotel was an unbelievably nice experience. We know. We stay at about 60 different Marriott's each year in our travels. Without hesitation, this was the nicest Marriott (including the full service expensive ones) that we have ever stayed at. The manager deserves kudos and having everyone who travels through stay in her hotel. Definitely stay there if you have to stay in Texarkana, Texas!

Room Tip: All of the rooms were nice. You can't go wrong with this hotel.

Thank you for your response. All of us here at the Texarkana Fairfield Inn & Suites appreciate your kind words. As we can tell from your review, you were more than pleased with your stay and we are happy that our high standards and friendly/efficient service were well met.

There are a few things here at our property that are above and beyond our brand standard. For example, our Managers' Receptions and real china on the tables for breakfast. We like to do these extra services because they show our guests how much we appreciate having you wish us.

We hope to see you the next time you are in the Texakana area again!

This is a great place! My GPS helped me find it, even when I got lost going out to dinner. The bed is comfortable, internet works great, and room was very clean! Don't accept a room next to the highway end of the hotel. It was noisy but I turned up the A/C and it worked out fine. The front desk clerk was very helpful including giving me suggestions about places to eat. This hotel is a good place for a short stay or an extended one.

Room Tip: Avoid highway side

Thank you for your response! Due to recent construction, directions can be confusing (especially coming from a GPS), but we're glad to know your's was working properly. It's a sign that GPS is finally being updated.

I am sorry to hear that your room was noisy from the highway traffic. On your next stay, please feel free to let the desk know and moving rooms is no problem. Typically the back side of the hotel is quieter and we can certainly place guests there upon request.

We're glad that your overall stay was "great" and we are always striving to meet our guests' needs and to go above and beyond the norm for service. Hopefully if you're in the Texarkana area again you will stay here with us at our Fairfield once more.

This hotel is near the first third of our regular fifteen hour family trip. We usually plan to stop here when traveling either coming or goinig. We will leave midday going and drive the second and third section the next day. Coming back we will leave early and stay here in the evening, leaving a short drive the second day. Great place to stay if you're in the area.

This was our first stay at a Fairfield Inn. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean, and the location was fine as well. We had a king suite which was roomy and the seating comfortable for our family of 4. Lighting was also better than some hotels we've been at recently. However all of the pillows were horrid - virtually no filling and hence no support. We were lucky we were only here for 1 night.

The pantry was a bit sparse on snack foods and they don't/can't provide beer or wine. The breakfast was better than some place like a Hampton Inn and the bacon was really good for buffet bacon. However the scrambled eggs (if they were eggs) had the most bizarre texture and had virtually no taste. I'd try some place else next time we are in the area.

Room Tip: It is right off the highway but we didn't notice road noise - our room was on the back side of t...

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you had an overall nice stay here with us at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Texarkana. I'm sorry that you felt the pillows were not comfortable enough while you were here. In the future you can always ask us at the desk for more pillows if you would like.

As for beer and wine, we are located in a dry county, but Arkansas is only a 5 minute drive and there you can buy alcohol. We actually serve beer and wine at our complimentary Manager's Receptions that we host on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Perhaps on your next stay you can be with us one of those nights to enjoy this perk.

Our breakfast is also unique to our Fairfield since it is set above and beyond the standards to make sure you get a great start to your day. If and when you are in Texarkana again, we look forward to seeing you then.

We chose this hotel because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor. They were accurte. We loved our suite, the friendly staff and breakfast BUT the hotel is tough to reach by car. It's not an easy exit from I-30. It's on a frontage road that is tough to reach.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us here at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home here with us. Because of recent construction, GPS may be inaccurate for some people driving in. Coming from Houston simply take the Exit for Richmond Road and you will see the hotel immediately on your right after the auto dealership. Coming from Dallas, use Exit 219 and stay straight on the frontage road (Mall Drive) for just over a mile and again you will see us on the right. Arriving from Little Rock all you need to do is take exit 220 A US-59 South/Atlanta and after you have exited, immediately use the next ramp for US-82/New Boston Road, stay in the left hand lane and this will take you into a U-turn under 59. You will now be on Sowell Lane, which turns into Mall Drive just after the auto dealership and there we are!

Again, thank you for choosing the Fairfield Inn & Suites Texarkana and we hope to have you with us again on your next trip through the area.
