“Decent place to stay while on business”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

This was a good place to stay while on a business trip and I would stay again.

The good:
It was clean and and the room had everything you would need for a longer term stay. I liked the breakfast options and the the free popcorn in the room. The staff was nice and the place was well kept.

The bad:
The only had 4 downfalls: the couch wasn't very comfortable and was so worn out that you would sink way down. It didn't look bad but wasn't something I wanted to sit on for long. The ac/heat was pretty loud and would either make the room really hot or really cold. The tv had some channels with poor reception and finally the worst issue was the wireless internet, it was unbearably slow and should be much better in a place that many business travelers would use.

I would probably stay there again and hope the internet access is improved, but if it wasn't I would probably not stay there again because this is an important aspect for me.

We have been travelling through Canada and US for the last 3 months and this place tops it all. For the price of $117, we got a lovely spacious king suite with full kitchen. The hotel website said that a hot breakfast buffet is included. So, we were pleasantly surprised that a hot dinner and wine are included as well. We really enjoyed the spaghetti with meat balls and salad. Dessert was 2 kinds of cupcakes. There were a white and a red wine along with various cold beverages and coffee/tea. We spoke with the chef to thank him for his delicious cooking. Apparently complimentary dinner is offered from Mondays to Fridays.

Stayed here 5 nights for business. This hotel is exactly what you expect for Residence Inn. No more, no less.

Rooms are large and decently appointed. Hotel was well cleaned. Pool, small fitness room, coin laundry, basketball court.

Free breakfast and happy hour dinner. Not spectacular but very serviceable - as with the rooms, exactly what you expect.

Staff was personal and professional.

Location - right off I-35. 1 restaurant (Mexican next door) but otherwise nothing in walking distance). Despite proximity to Interstate, no noise issues inside hotel. Location is unremarkable, but exactly what you expect for interstate exit hotel chain.

I'll stay here again next time I'm on the area.

We had a quick trip to Temple Tx and found the Residence Inn to be one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The price was so reasonable. It was a little difficult to find at first but is actually pretty well located.

We really appreciated the great staff here during a two-week stay with our newborn daughter. The room was spacious and clean, having the kitchen was key for us. The front desk helped us out repeatedly - getting us adjacent rooms on the ground floor with my mom, helping us find various spots in the area, extending our stay, and were super sweet to us and the baby. Everything was clean and well-kept. Bed was comfortable. Also, the place looks like it would be noisy, right off the highway, but the room was super quiet. Good breakfast buffet, and weeknight 'manager's reception' that can function as a light dinner. This stay made me a believer in the Residence Inn.

Only minor drawback was that the internet access is very slow at night (I'm finding this is typical these days), and the reception on my (ATT) cell phone was bad in my room. But the pluses far outweigh this... I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

When they built this property (right off IH35) I never imagined it would be so upscale! But this property is flawless-- it is so clean and well-kept, it still looks brand new! The front desk specialist, Judsonregard the grace and efficiency of an old time innkeeper. Our suite was beautifully appointed and the kitchen was gorgeous, with marble countertops and stainless steel appliances. The bedding was luxuriant and our only complaint is that we can't stay here longer-- we could easily tolerate these surroundings for a month! We will definitely make this our "home away from home" every time we have reason to stay in Temple!
