If you have never had real texas BBQ start here..it has it all..1st atmosphere..it's in an old building in downtown Taylor w what seems centuries of smoke in the walls..no ac, just like gramps meat market..2 fix your own tea..there's the ice machine and the tea urns sweet unsweet...if you want a coke it's in a can..but the meat is what it's about...if they got any left get a beef rib..heaven on a dinosaur bone..smokey peppery extasy..it don't get better than this..the brisket is one of the best and is what texas BBQ is about..homemade sausages that pop when you bite in them..turkey chicken pork it's all here and great..one of my pet peeves are canned sides..you won't find that here..one of my favorite homemade potatoe salad and cold slaws...and a new favorite Nana pudding in a mason jar..wow its incredible. ..the only thing wrong with louie Mueller ' s is when they run out its over..so go early and enjoy

I came to try this barbecue and compare to other places in Texas. Saw it on tv show.

Staff was nice
Brisket & Beef ribs were moist and tender
No season or flavor to meat. Just smoke and hints of salt. Tastes great with pickles.

Climate...hot, no ac, lots of flys. It was uncomfortable to eat there so we packed up and left.

Didnt like sauce either.

Might have been a bad day. But at 3pm they were out of all ribs but beef.

Prices too high. I paid $40 for two slices of brisket, small serving of beans, and one beef rib.

Food was not nasty, it was ok.

No desire to return.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon and was not disappointed. Brisket (Moist) is absolutely some of the best Ive eaten. Beef ribs were just as good. Sausage was good but not near as good ad some of the other top BBQ joints. My only complaint is the fact that they only had one person carving which made the line very long. I understand waiting for good food but this could be easily corrected by adding additional employees at the line or adjusting how they serve. Other than that great atmosphere and food!

This place has great BBQ. The brisket, pork loin, and turkey breast were all great. The meat was tasty and juicy. The potato salad was also very good. We didn't care for the sauce though, it was very thin with lots of onion. The meat is so good, you truly don't miss the sauce. They also have some of the best banana pudding that I've ever tasted. The only disappointment was the atmosphere, no AC, this is Texas and it gets really hot in July. Luckily we were there on an overcast day so it wasn't too bad. Also, make sure you beat the crowd!

Get there early or go after the lunch crowd and hope they haven't run out of anything. This BBQ melts in your mouth. The brisket is a must. Get a beef rib if you can afford it. It's huge. Like 2 meals huge. The sides aren't spectacular but big deal. You may smell like smoke from the pit if you dine in.
