Went there with a friend. Very good food and great service. The staff is very attentive and the food is excellent. We did not like the preparation of the manchurian and the owner promptly took it back and returned with a dish that was perfect. So definitely worth a visit if you are into indian chinese food.

Just the kind of Chinese we (Indians) are used to eating back home! Nothing authentic here - but the flavors hit the right notes for people who enjoy their spice!

Friendly staff, huge portions at value (leftovers makes it even special), and flavorful food. What more does one need.

I love coming to Aling's. The chef pays personal attention to you if you are a first-time diner, and the menu is full of Indo-Chinese staples but also has some innovative items on it. Great value for money, huge portions and a good atmosphere. I find myself coming here frequently.

Aling's Hakka restaurant is hidden in a strip mall in Sugar Land and it is quite. The ambiance is good and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
We went on a Wednesday evening and it is very empty (in a good way) and we had a relaxed dinner. We ordered Fish curry and the waiter told us that it is a dry curry and we ordered Shrimp Hakka noodles and Veggie fried rice and in 10 min we got the food. The food was well prepared and the portions are big (Huge) and it served us for complete lunch next day as well. One thing I have noticed is that most of the curries can be prepared as a Vegetarian, Chicken or a Shrimp dish and I think it a great option for vegetarians (veggie fried rice came with egg in it, but if you don't eat egg, make sure you tell when you order). The Jasmine tea was mediocre, but it was good choice on a cold Houston evening.

They have decent selection of beer and wine.

The owner takes a wonderful interest in preparing individualized dishes for each patron - at least when the place is not packed (which I'm told it usually is on weekend evenings). The tastiest dish we had were the Chili Pepper Scallops (Flash Fried Pre-marinated scallops stir fried in seasoning w/ green & red pepper). Tender, full of flavor, not overcooked. All the other dishes were great, just not as good as the scallops.
