Lynn and I had been at LBJ's home in Stonewall Texas in the mid 80s, but at the time all that you could do was drive by it and see his Lincoln Continentals behind plastic in the garage. During the last decade the house has been open to the public. We did a tour with a National Park guide who gave us really good insight into how LBJ used this house to entertain dignitaries. We saw all of the downstairs bedrooms and offices and the swimming pool. The 6 upstairs bedrooms are not open to the public. You can also drive around the property and view the Johnson family cemetery and see Johnson's collection of Lincolns and Air Force One airplane which is in a hanger on the property. We are glad that we returned to the Ranch.
