Alright, now this is what i call Mexican food people. I'm from San Antonio and I have truely seen and tasted many restaurants throughtout my days. La Fiesta though I would have to rate it in my top 5 favorite affordable places to eat! Me and my cousin went in on a Saturday night and we were greeted with superb hospitatlity by a man named Lorenzo. He was just a very unique being. As soon as we walked in the door, he through out a joke to us and just made us laugh continuously throughout our dining experience there. We were seated and instantly brought chips and hotsauce. They had a buffet going on at the moment which looked excellent. Our server on the other hand, told us about a special that was also going on that night called the "Weekend Special'. Talk about a great deal. We were started out with a Queso Flameado. The presentation was marvelous and DIFFERENT. They flamed the cheese up right before our table it was astonishing. Next we were brought combination fajitas for two. BEST FAJITAS I'VE EVER TRIED. They were sauteed in onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes, and were marinated and cooked to perfection. As for our drinks, we had margaritas which were also tasteful and exquisite. As for dessert, we were offered sopapillas. They came out so warm and soft, drizzled in honey and creamed in butter, the taste was distinctive and appetizing. All of that was offered and served for $27.95. Talk about a bargain. La Fiesta's atmosphere is very distinctive and lively. You feel like you walk into old Mexico.

“Not appealing”

La fiesta's main entree is their buffet, and it is not impressive. Get ready to pay for cheap and slopped together ingredients for a 10 dollar price not including drink.

“The catering was wonderful at a reasonable price.”

Thanks La Fiesta for doing a great job catering our daughter's wedding. The fajita buffet was delicious, and our guests were very complimentary of your service. You were very professional and personable. Thanks for your contribution to such an important event in our lives. We recommend you highly.

“Very Nice Local Joint”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2008

We walked in about 9:15 on Friday night. Stephenville is a small town, and we asked the host if they were still serving. "Of course," he smiled, and we were shown a table.

While being seated, we passed a man eating a large shrimp cocktail and drinking a large draft beer. I had to have a shrimp cocktail! We each had a beer, and shared a shrimp cocktail. Good tomato-juice base, cilantro, green onions, pepper (bell or jalapeno? bell, I think), and plenty of shrimp. It was very good.

My fiancee had sour-cream chicken enchiladas, and I had fajitas. The food was fresh and well prepared. The praline to top it all off was homemade and wonderful.

Best ever? No. Very good, fresh food and genuine staff? You bet. It's worth a look.
