This restaurant is a piece of heaven! From the ambiance to the kindness of the owners, this restaurant is a true gem. The food is also fresh, the spices always perfect and watch either chef cook is like watching an artist paint. Methodical, creative with a hint of inventiveness have kept me coming there and always bringing friends to partake in the exquisite meals!

I would absolutely recommend this to any one in search of the perfect Indian cuisine.

Loved the food, but the incense was a big negative. Smelled like incense even after going home and changing clothes. Asked the guy if they ever have no-incense day and he said no. There are a lot of great Indian restaurants in this part of town so I would say go here only if the burning incense appeals to you.

This isn't a buffet. Most Indian restaurants out here are. That has pluses and minuses- the plus being I don't overeat like I do at a buffet, the minuses being you have to choose just one entree.

First off the title is misleading. No one would guess that this was a fine dining Indian restaurant from the name or appearance of the restaurant, but it is and I am going to share my new secret with all of you! OUTSTANDING! The owners (and chefs) Sunil and Anupama, trained at one of the finest hospitality schools in Indian (The Maurya Sheraton) and to our good fortune ended up in Houston about 2 yrs ago. They opened this place about 5 mos ago. I had heard of it but wasn't sure what kind of food it was. Then I found out it US) Can't wait to go back!
It is located in a little strip mall near a business park but it is worth the trip. You walk in and the table setting suggest that it is not a cafe; table is set with linens and upscale plates etc. The menu is varied - many options for a small restaurant with entrees ranging from $10-$20. We had the mixed vegetarian appetizer plate, eggplant curry, yello dhal, tandoori potatoes, 2 orders naan, and mushroom biriyani for a total of $55. The food is freshly prepared and delicious, to the quality you would expect from a fine dining establishment. A great find!
