Description: The Short version. Joe and I (Maria) moved to Houston in February of 2012. After a long weekend visit which we spent in The Woodlands in January of 2012, we decided to make a move, very spur of the moment. After returning from our visit, it only took a few days to decide to move. Eight days later, Joe packed his car armed with his chef knives, coats and bare necessities looking forward to a 3 day journey to Texas. We came down with no family ties, but with our families, no distance can keep us apart. So with their blessing, we were determined to make it work, and we did. I met Joe down here a month later with our dogs and a few belongings. Joe worked downtown as executive chef with the Mandola family on West Dallas Street, Up Restaurant in Highland Village and finally at Mo's "A Place for Steak" in The Galleria. The Rest, come in and we will tell ya!

Wasn't that hungry so stopped by here for an app and a chat. Boy were we glad we did.

Even though we ordered so little the service was excellent! We sat at the bar and the server treated us like we were the only customers there (although admittedly it's a small joint and there weren't that many people).

My favorite was the complimentary bread. It comes with this lovely, lovey sesame butter. And the bread itself was like a warm crusty french kind - the best kind. I just loved that combination - we asked for more after finishing a whole basket.

The app we had was the 'crispy brussel sprouts.' A bit tangy somehow but oh so good.

Mostly would come back here just to have all the bread - excited to come back and try a main dish or two.

We had a group of six and sat outside. We all had the special which was the gargonzola crusted ribeye. It was very good!

Pros: Our waiter was great, the steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. The steaks were thick and juicy. Asparagus was also very good.

It was a cool evening so the weather was perfect (that won’t last!).

Cons: Price - the bill for food and a couple of drinks each was over $300. Other than that none.

All in all a great dining experience!

Excellent wine menu. Great cozy spot for dinner. Our waiter was perfect -- very helpful, but not overbearing. He allowed us to try our wine before we ordered a glass. The food was delicious.

This place is in an old house deep in Old Town Spring. The food was wonderful! Off the radar, delicious and a great surprise! Lamb and blue cheese crusted pork chop were absolutely amazing.l

Ate here with two colleagues per another’s recommendation. We weren’t disappointed! My chicken Alfredo was delicious, fresh chicken, tasty sauce. One colleague loved her sliders, and the other had the larger Chilean Sea Bass. He really enjoyed it. It looked very fresh, larger size was a big piece of fish. The two of them shared a huge piece of carrot cake for dessert. A full bar with a big beer selection for a small place, from PBR up to IPA’s. Would definitely go back. Service was friendly, funny, inviting.
