This is a fun place to have a beer and listen to the music, but won't eat here again. Have tried four different meals and thought all were marginal. Will keep going back for the atmosphere and drinks.

Ouch...arrow straight to the heart! We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your meals at Angels. The one thing we pride ourselves on more than anything else - is our FOOD and that is the MAIN reason we have customers returning time and time again. People say they can taste the love in the food - and that is what we strive for.

We would really love to talk to you about your experience and hear the details of what exactly went wrong with the food so that we can work to fix it. Please contact us at Angels at any time - you can ask for Mary, Sara or Trenton. Thank you for this review and we look forward to hearing from you!

Love, love, love Angels Icehouse. whilst this is a fully licensed bar, the facilities are excellent for all types of getogethers and gatherings.
Keeping it local, with excellent local brews, this trendy, hip Spicewood location, will keep everyone happy.
Excellent food and wine menu, live entertainment, great Happy Hour.
Not a place to miss if your in Spicewood.

Been dining here 'in protest' for years. We love the burgers and fries. The environment has always been flawed, but now they've pushed me over the edge and we'll likely never return.

They have great food, the service is always good and the setting is superb in the trees on a hillside in the Texas Hill Country.

2 major flaws: 1. They play Nashville, cookie-cutter country music. 2. They play Nashville, cookie-cutter country music on a sound system with a loud subwoofer. I can't stand top-40, bubble-gum country music (escpecially near Austin, the Live Music Capital of the World) and I can't tolerate thumping bass. We have to eat, and then get out fast.

The fatal flaw: They no longer carry normal Texas beer. They've dropped Lone Star (The National Beer of Texas) and Shiner. They never had the good taste to offer Shiner Premium, but now you can't even get a Shiner Bock.

This is unTexan and we refuse to patronize an establishment that doesn't get 2 of the most basic Texas necessities: music and beer.

Well - we heard you. :) We wanted to make sure that you knew that along with the Locally Brewed Austin Craft Beers that we just started carrying in February after our 'bar remodel" which has had overwhelmingly positive feedback - that we have had and ALWAYS will have the Texas favorites in the bottled beer department - Shiner Bock, Lone Star, along with several of your bottled staples - bud, bud lite, miller lite, coors lite.... just to name a few...

As for our music - we do have a jukebox and its free music is limited. We have requested from our service provider for a SXSW channel and a Texas Acoustic Channels. Let us know what sounds you are looking for - and we can try to request those as well. If you ever come in and what we are playing is just driving you crazy - just ask us to change the channel - or better yet - we will give you a couple of bucks to put in the jukebox and you can select your own tunes. NOTHING at Angels is set in stone. We are always trying to adapt to appeal to the many different tastes of folks that frequent our establishment. So - give us another try...:) we hope to see you soon!

The music "The Chevelles" was great, good dance vibe, nice crowd and people were having a real good time. The guacamole and chips were good but the menu did not offer anything else that I would eat. I thought they had "fried chicken" but all they had were chicken fried breasts. Hubby had the chicken fried steak which was not good. I was glad I didn't order food but I had a really good time there.

This is a great local place with indoor and outdoor dining where you can get classic Texas fare. The burgers are okay but the chili and chicken fried steak are fabulous.
