“Great Hotel, Great location”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This hotel is a short drive to the Northwest of DFW Airport, taking less than 15 minutes. It is located in an outdoor shopping area of high end retail shops and restaurants, across from one of the best Seafood restaurants you will ever try, Truluck's. In any case, upon your arrival up the circular drive, you will be greeted by a valet and bellman and you will notice the architecture and materials used for this hotel are superior to most properties, inside and out.

Upon entering the hotel lobby it houses a large front desk directly across from the entry doors with a marble and dark wood design. The front desk person was quite friendly, though I neglected to get her name. There was another front desk agent by the name of Chris, who unfortunately was not so friendly and perhaps with a bit more training he could be a good front desk person. In any event, the room I had booked was a suite which was about 450 square feet with a tremendously large bathroom, separate shower and jacuzzi bath. Room decor was significantly greater than most Hilton Hotel's. If there is a downside within the room, it would be with the lack of TV channel guide and no pay-per-view movie options, at least during my stay.

Housekeeping was very good and even emptied the trash, which may seem elementary but these days, its rare to have this done on a daily basis. Even the room amenities within the bathroom were replenished.

The restaurant on-site, Copeland's, was surprisingly good and is not your normal "hotel" restaurant. It had excellent food, average service and good pricing. The lounge was a good, hopping place to spend some down time. Also within the lobby area, there is a Starbuck's coffee shop, which is convenient.

What I enjoyed most about this location was it clientele. They truly were the "old school", which I consider myself to be, clients of Hilton days gone past. Meaning, it was a professional crowd who represented the hotel appropriately and it seemed everyone knew their role, whatever it may be. Hilton Hotel purist who appreciated the luxury and prestige of former years, will appreciate the Hilton Southlake. I congratulate the owning entity and management for not just putting the money into the project but also managing it to the standards of the brand.

Do yourself a favor...........if you need to stay in Dallas and within a location conveniently located to the DFW Airport, stay at the Hilton Southlake. You can't go wrong.

Room Tip: A corner suite is an awesome room

I spent last weekend at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. Check in was a breeze and the rooms were very comfortable. The restaurant in the lobby was very reasonably priced and the food was excellent.
The location is very handy to the airport and ATT Texas Stadium.
I will definiotely travel back to this hotel

I have been staying here since the beginning of August, and it is the best experience! The hotel staff is like family and has been nothing but nice and made us not want to leave. The only complaint I have over the whole time I've been here is the personality of a single woman staff member that i once thought was very nice, but is different behind guests' back. Overall though, I don't want it to end.

We got married this past weekend and our plan was to get married outside on the veranda, but when the time came it was pouring rain. One of the staff members allowed us to move it inside and use one of the palmer rooms for our small ceremony. It was the 2 of us and 7 family members. We were greeted each time we arrived back at the hotel, either by the valet or front desk staff. We had dropped off baskets to be delivered to a few of our guest as they arrived for our wedding reception and those were given to the guest without a problem. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers one night at Copeland’s and the service there was excellent. We would definitely come back!

Just returned from a mtg @ the Hilton Southlake. Nice hotel, very welcoming staff, excellent facilities for meetings and conferences. Great service. The hotel is easy to reach from DFW, has plenty of parking and, for the ladies, tons of shopping w/in walking distance.

Rooms are good size, comfortable, good contemporary decor, large well stocked bathroom and a fridge in the room. My only negative would be the lack of sound proofing. Even with the Sleep Machine Fan running very loud on my IPhone, I could hear noise in the halway, doors closing, locks and normal conversation in the adjoining room. Usually don't have that @ Hilton Hotels. Otherwise, enjoyed the stay and service.
