Description: About Us Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world. As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico. A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team! Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.

Daddy's is so much better than the other. Food, service, and atmosphere is better. Our first choice is Sea Ranch--recommended by a local boat captain and he was right!!! They serve huge portions in an awesome unstuffy atmosphere---it's for everyone.

Dislike some of the crude humor on the tee-shirts of servers at Daddy's. We save Sea Ranch for special occasions as it is a bit pricey.

The food was ok..... We didn't care for the restroom opening into the dining room. Wasn't very clean. Don't think it is a place we will return to. We found Daddy's to be clean and more reasonably priced and larger portions. The waiter kept on trying to tell us how much more reasonable the prices are at Dirty Al's. It was busy and seemed to stay that way most of the time.......

If you like plastic forks & plates, especially on a $10.00 Salad, then this is your place. The menu say's "$5.00 substitution charge on everything". So if it comes with fries, you get fries. This placeis no big deal

Had heard a lot about this restaurant. The food is good only was warned that it might be a little smelly because it is also a bait shop. Some of my family members had been in a fishing tournament and decided to stop by at this resaurant everyone was very hungry. So we suggested this place by what we had been told. Went in so far so good no bad smell at all but it is very congested. We were sent to the very back were a large group. We were sitting right in front of the bathrooms and all of sudden we see this lady go there with her kids and was practically naked from the waste down. Bottom bikini was worn as a thong. That is disgusting talk about no hygiene in here. God knows what she might have and then to sit where a child will eventually sit. Was so uncomfortable too were eating with my in laws his uncle and my 10 yr old son. Her behind was about 2 feet from touching my son and his uncle and no one that worked there said anything. We are at the island but a restaurant where you take children should at least wear a wrap or something. Should address that to the public. Oh and i brought it to waitress attention and told me that they never saw her and told me an incident happened where a man was in there with no shoes and was brought to her attention but this lady wearing almost nothing and then sitting on the chairs was never seen! I decide when my 10 yr old boy should see more than he should in public not someone else. Will never go back there again afraid what else might be exposed and don't want my child to see. People have no respect for others. No clothes you'll get service but no shoes keep on going.

No big deal. Another over priced, tourist fried food & french fries bait shack. No air conditioner. Rude impaitent waiter. Seating hostess being friendly told us how her dog had died that day. NOT what I wanted to hear as I was missing my own pets.
