Description: About Us Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world. As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico. A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team! Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.

“Don't Know What The Deal Is”
Reviewed July 29, 2009

I don't understand why people say this restaurant is good. I tried it twice and got sick both times. I went there the first time because I had heard such good things. I got sick after eating the seafood basket. Second time I went there because friends wanted to go. I tried to talk them out of it but ended up going anyway. I got sick again, this time after eating fried shrimp. This is a NO, NO, NO.

“FOOD WAS GOOD, VERY POOR SERVICE. AND PLACE WAS TOO SMALL”
Reviewed June 17, 2009

I have to admitt the Food was really Good, the Sevice on the other hand was very poor, it took them about 10min to bring us a menu. The people in the next table looked as if they had been waiting for a while too. The sad thing is when their food was finally ready the waiter comes out and drop's their entire order all over the floor, Ouch! and it's due to Restaurant being so darn small and cluttered.

“Super fresh seafood”
Reviewed June 4, 2009

We came down to the Island last weekend and this was thr first place we stopped to eat. I was a little iffy at first, it looks like a shack and its a little dirty inside, but the food definately makes up for that!
The seafood is SO fresh, the best shrimp i've had in years. We will definately go back!
