Description: About Us Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world. As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico. A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team! Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.

Food was great! Atmosphere is okay if you get a good view. Place needs a small facelift. The food does nix everything else.

The best shrimp in Port Isabell. Shrimp all kinds of ways and for a very good price. There is cold beer and daquris flowing and dancing,. Everyone has a good time. A little older crowd goes there, but it's fun.

Have been here couple of times over the years and I love it. Recommend it to everyone I know. The ambience is perfect, compliments the food well. Food and service are exceptional. Me and my fiends always got the seafood platter that has a little of everything. The staff are very nice and helpful. You won't regret eating here.

Our group of 4 shared the seafood platter for $39. You get 40 pieces of shrimp, chicken strips, oysters or fish... Any combination with fries. The French fries were great which is why I have the food an average 3. The shrimp was fishy. The chicken strips were dry. My grandparents said it was the bet shrimp I'd ever have, so maybe my hopes were just too high. I was disappointed.

Even though Dirty Al's is near the water, it doesn't really have the ambience of being so. The fresh shrimp and oysters were as great as at Daddy's (same owner), but Dirty Al's is more scruffy, plus the wait staff wears the dirty t-shirts, which subtracts from the whole experience, in my opinion. Just go to Daddy's.
