Description: Sea Ranch Restaurant has been serving South Padre Island visitors for over 35 years, and has established itself as the island’s premier dining destination. If you haven’t spent an evening at the Sea Ranch Restaurant, you haven’t truly experienced South Padre. Our menu is comprised of local seafood that is caught directly from the Gulf of Mexico, and it changes often based on what is in season. Every item is made with high-quality ingredients, from unbeatably fresh seafood to juicy steaks and hearty pastas. Start your meal off with our Ahi Tuna or Escargot appetizers, or try something a little spicier like our Stuffed Jalapeños. For your main course, pick from one of our countless seafood items including fresh fish, crab legs, shrimp, oysters, lobster and scallops. Our house specialty is the Red Snapper, which has become a customer favorite as well. If you aren’t in the mood for seafood, try one of our delicious grilled steak, chicken or pork dishes. We also have decadent pastas, from chicken or seafood Alfredo to Scott’s Shrimp Scampi served over angel hair pasta. No matter what you are in the mood for, we have a tasty, fresh option for you at Sea Ranch Restaurant.Seafood goes perfectly with wine, so we boast an extensive selection of wines. With over 122 choices ranging from $20 all the way to $500, we have the perfect choice to compliment your meal. If you have an event coming up, consider hosting it at the Sea Ranch. We can accommodate up to 77 people for anything from weddings and receptions to birthdays and meetings.

“Really good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2009

I know Sea Ranch can be hit or miss....but, we gave it a shot after totally
bombing out at Tx. Moon(which was #1 on Tripadvisor)!! The shashimi
tuna was the best my husband has had in a long time! We were a party
of six and everyone got something different and ALL were very pleased
with their food. So cuddos to Sea Ranch for great service, good food and
great ambiance.

“Best we had all week”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2009

Great location across from Schillertbahn. Food was the best we had all week. Seafood cooked well and tasted great. Shrimp were fresh, not frozen. Blackened fish was just the righ amount of seasonings. Service was friendly and steady.

“Very Outdated Decor and Uninspired Food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2009

To start, I just returned from a trip to Padre and the food choices are pretty weak. Sea Ranch is mediocre at best. The food is uninspired and the decor is dated. I've seen / heard of this restaurant being in the top 500 in the country. For this to be the case, you would need to have a know executive chef, SR does not have this. The salads we started with, both the house and caesar, had dressings that came out of a bottle and croutons were out of a box. The bread accompanying the meal was not made in house or from a bakery. You can tell by the dimples on the bottom. Fresh in house bread does not have these dimples. The lobster tail I had was overcooked and rubbery. Meaning it was more than likely frozen. We didnt stay for dessert. The wine list was anemic at best. The markups werent too bad. For a better meal, Amberjack's is the better place to get quality seafood and expiernce a certain degree of fine dining.

“Definitely Not Worth the Price”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2009

Went to Sea Ranch with a party of seven adults and one child on Sunday evening. We were told no wait and then proceeded to have to wait for 15 minutes while they put the "finishing touches" on our table. The wait staff was mediocre at best - slow, confused, long waits in between visits, empty water glasses, had to request a dessert menu, had to request the check. They had no local fresh caught fish but were happy to offer frozen pollock at a premium price. Our meals ranged from pretty okay oysters Rockefeller to pretty dismal broiled fish, served with a side of barely cooked carrots and squash. Don't waste your money.
