After biking on South Padre, we were hungry and stopped into T & J's per recommendation. The first thing that hits you is the smell of cigarette smoke. I would have gone somewhere else but my friends insisted on the great food. The Food was great. We got a table down in the corner and opened up all the windows, which helped. The rustic atmosphere is cool, but the chairs may be a little too rustic as the backs were not sanded/varnished well and pricked my shirt, thus ruining it. The service was also very good.
