I'll echo what Melissa said - our family has been coming to the Marisol for nearly 30 years, usually during the 4th of July week. This year was the complete opposite of what we had come to know as charming, fun, and family focused beach front condo. The place was a disaster zone on the outside; we were given ZERO notice that this construction was going to be taking place during peak season, despite what the front office tried to tell us when we arrived- and three other families that spend the week with us were told the same lie.
As previously stated, construction work took place from 8am-5pm daily without a break on the 4th- not just a few construction workers outside to get in the way, but vibrating walls and hammering for hours on end. Whats funny was that barely any of the building appeared to have been completed but apparently was being worked on since January. The front office, that's a whole story in itself - Celia who has always been wonderful in the past was not present. Her replacement had an attitude problem, didn't allow us the option to reserve the same unit for the following year (always been allowed in the past) and lied to guests in front of us while they were checking in.
Not staying here again. This place was nice, but they obviously don't recognize the value of repeat business. I think that it's time to find a new place for the next 30 years of family vacation.
