There were only 4 big kid rides, one of which was broken. It was cold in 1/2 of the place and pretty ugly. For the money I felt more than cheated. Don't waste you time and money on the indoor part.

For $26 per person you get an indoor slide, a lazy river, and a pool. What a waste of money. At check-in, they treated us like we didn't matter. We purchased souvenir cups and yet were treated like criminals for asking for unlimited free refills. For an indoor water park, none of the water is heated. After two hours, the kids were shivering, bored, and all of us wanted to go do something fun. Fun just wasn't found at Schlitterbahn. Save yourself and go someplace else.

Not much to say here this review is for the indoor waterpark that isn't actually finished yet OR even has warm water but they're selling tickets anyway, the "lazy" river was more like the crazy river... it threw my husband up into the wall so hard he smacked his knee and could barely walk, and did I mention the water? Colder than the ocean... we were told the only warm water they had was the hot tub, when we got there it was something like 80 O.o thank goodness we bought the tickets from our hotel and they gave us a refund but DON'T buy tickets here until you can get some kind of real confirmation that they are fully operational

We went during Thanksgiving break, so only the indoor waterpark was open, but the price was reasonable (about $25-30 a person), the lines were short, and the kids loved it. It took us a while to figure out that you could access the beach, which added another hour to the fun (we stayed for about four hours altogether). Food was not as good as some reviews indicated but could have been worse. Chicken strips were good; burger was disappointing. The two drinks I had (pina colada and margarita) were very good and reasonably priced ($6-7 each). Water in the park was actually colder than the water in the ocean, despite reviews indicating it is too warm.

We took a family trip here with the in-laws (no children) the first weekend of November after snagging a Living Social deal that gave us two nights and three days at the hotel and indoor water park. We paid for the upgrade to a beachfront view room and it was really nice. The outdoor, large/main section of the park was closed and we were fully aware of this and knew to expect a very small area (indoor section) to be open since it is off season. The indoor section is nice as it has a kids area, two water slides, a carousel, a torrent/wave river, many picnic areas, swim up heated bar, etc. The beach was just a few steps away and we loved being so close to the beach. There was also a dolphin watch company right across the main road which we did ($15 per person).

Many parts of the hotel are built with wood from the Bastrop fires, including all of the bedside tables in the hotel rooms.

One thing that was deterring was that there are so few pictures of the hotel and indoor section since it is so new - I will upload and add my pictures :)
