We were on the island for a month and went to the pier several times. Breakfast was incredible. Good burgers and seafood. The service was really good too. Alejandro was very good to us our first time there.

Eating on a pier isn't normally where you'd find fine dining but this place is an exception. Great seafood and friendly service.

Try the Cracker Shrimp!!! Happy Hour everyday 11 am to 7 pm...but the food makes that worthwhile. We found ourselves heading to the pier every day looking forward to trying another delicious menu item. Didn't have time to try the Ay Caramba Mexican Martini...order one from Jerry for me.

We visited the Pier 19 twice while in SPI. The first time for Sunday breakfast, we both had the salmon Benedict. Both were okay, nothing special and my salmon was on the small side. We also ordered a side of bacon, when it arrived we burst out laughing. There were 2 pieces, 3 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, they could sense our disappointment because they bought a couple of extra slices. Our next trip was for a late lunch, l had the shrimp Po'boy and l would have preferred the shrimp fresh and not breaded and fried. My Wife had the Reuben sandwich, it did look strange, Corned beef and sauerkraut on rye bread. Nothing strange about the ingredients, but a Reuben usually has cheese and is toasted, which this had neither. My Wife thought that this was the way Texans ate their Reuben's. Only after leaving and reading their menu on line did she realize she'd been short changed on her meal. We enjoyed the ambiance of the place and their bloody Mary's but l wouldn't go for the food.

We always appreciate comments. We would like to state for the record that the Salmon is designed to fit on an English Muffin. So the portion is accordingly. The bacon the staff courteously brought you more. The menu states the Shrimp poorboy is prepared breaded and fried. They are fresh gulf shrimp. The ruben is also stated how it is prepared. Not sure what you are really complaining about. But we look forward to serving you again in the future.

Peggy and I had lunch here today. It's just south of the Causeway; take a right and go alongside the KOA.
The restaurant is very narrow, running out on the pier, meaning every table has a clear view of the water of Laguna Madre. We saw a dolphin right outside our window. Nicely decorated with photos of past fishing catches by clients of the adjoining charter service.
I had one of the daily specials, grilled grouper with rice, hush puppies and mixed vegetables, for $8. Peggy had a grilled chicken club sandwich with sweet potato fries. About $12 for hers. Very tasty 12 oz. Margarita was a $4 happy hour special. Both lunches were very tasty and just the right amount of food for a good lunch.
It was very windy so we stayed inside, but the pier goes well out into the lagoon and has another bar at the end. Looks like it would be a great place to spend an evening once it warms up.
