There are lots of lights for night fishing and plenty of room for lots of folks. I have not seen it over crowded. The Island usually has good weather for fishing. I do not recommend pier fishing on windy days.

We ventured out onto the pier after eating dinner late one evening. I believe it was around 10pm and there were manyh people fishing. Almost as soon as we got out there one of the children in our party said they spotted a Dolphin and sure enough, it was one. We spent almost 45 minutes chasing the Dolphin up and down the pier (there was probably more than one). The children also spotted a sea turtle and some other interesting specimens.

We watched the fireworks from here, pretty far away but nice fishing pier. Lots of room to fish, and music at the bar area.

You can walk along the pier & see the replica of an old pirate ship called The Black Dragon & take a cruise on it. People fish from the pier & there are cleaning stations to clean your catch.
