We had a great trip. We saw dolphins for an hour straight within 30 yards. They did 5 flips and lots of other great fun to see. The crew was really fun and you could tell they love dolphins. It was a truly personal experience.

We did dolphin watching twice during our trip. Once on a big boat with Breakaway, and the second time with Fin and Feathers. The smaller boat (only 6 passengers) made for a much nicer experience. We got closer to more dolphins and had a much better view. It is well worth the extra money.

I went on a tour April 13th with George and his dolphin-pointing dog who actually runs to the point on the boat (a pontoon the day I went) where the dolphins are. It's amazing to see the dog in action. We saw several dolphins some of which came right up to the boat and swam next to us. George has been doing this for 18 years and the dolphins actually know the sound of his boat and the sound of George's voice. This company takes as few as two people out (there were three on our trip). The narration is live and you can stop and ask questions whenever you want so you learn much more than listening to some canned talk-George is right there. You can call on short notice and they will try to get you out (I called and was on the boat an hour later). Along with learning about the dolphins and the birds in the area, you also learn about the other types of boats on the water and some history of the area. The trip is usually an hour and a half. Ours went longer as we were seeing so many dolphins but we did not mind at all.

We had a great personalized tour with George and Gorge the dog, we followed a group of 4 dolphins, saw lots of birds, learned about the inland waterway and the portuguese man o war, and got fired on from the pirate ship. My kids loved it, we loved it! Our captain was super, he even let the kids steer the boat for a little while, my oldest almost crashed us into two poles but he kept his cool. So much better than being on a big boat with a hundred people.

We went on a dolphin viewing boat trip with George and dolphin dog Gorgie. There were 5 of us on the excursion and we found the dolphins just a short ride from where the boat was docked in Port Isabel. We had a great time. There were up to 7 dolphins that jumped and swam right beside the boat for about 45 minutes. It's clear that George and wife Scarlett have a great relationship with the dolphins. George also pointed out several interesting birds on our outing. The tour leaves from a funky sea life museum close to the lighthouse It was worth every penny of the $25 per person we paid!
