“Tasty New York bagels”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2012

Despite the limited reviews of this restaurant, wife and I tried it for a light lunch. Lots of choices of bagels from sesame, poppy, garlic, multi grain etc. Also, many spreads prepared daily. Bagels are shipped directly from Long Island, New York.
I had Bronx bagel with turkey breast, swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, red onions & scallion /capers spread. Wife had Manhattan bagel with roast beef, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion. Bagels were heated and were melt in your mouth delicious and were accompanied by a large dill pickle slice . There are a few tables inside but most business is probably take-out which would be good for party platters.
Would recommend this as a great alternative for a lighter lunch or for party food.

“Anyone have a fresh bagel?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2012

walked in thinking I would smell fresh bagels. Nada. I ordered up two bagels. Not warm and when you pressed on the bagel not fresh. Darn!!!!!

Average taste. I did notice you could order cream cheese in twenty flavors, lox, and picnic baskets. A nice idea.

I do not think the bagels are made there, which would explain why they were not soft and hot.

Oh well. Can't win them all.

“Enjoyed the Bagels”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2011

Out of five mornings, we ate here once. Pretty good bagels. Good cream cheeses, good variety of flavors. Of the three places we had breakfast, this would be our #2 pick.

“Worth the wait”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2011

After reading some reviews on Trip Advisor I was a little cautious, but those that complained about the service here must not be used to north east hospitality.

Yes, the service is a bit slow. But, they've got a cute little post it by the counter that pretty much sums it up, "Fast food is not good. Good food is not fast." They've got a good selection, and the bagels are really good. They import their bagels from New York, and nothing beats a New York bagel.

The ladies behind the counter seemed a bit frazzled, but it was July 4th weekend and they were slammed. I think we waited about 20 min for our food. The hubby ordered a cinnamon bagel with apricot cream cheese and I got the bronx. My sandwich was really yummy.

Bottom line, if you're looking for your typical southern hospitality where the person behind the counter is all smiles and chit chat, then this is not the place for you. But, if you want some really good food and you're willing to wait, then it's definitely worth it. The service might be a little brusque, but they're not rude. They're just trying to fill the orders as quickly as they can with the limited staff they have.
