Palm St Pier is a small laguna-side restaurant with tables right on the water or inside. Some winter Texans recommended it to us for lunch. The Wednesday lunch special is coconut shrimp so we went just for that and it did not disappoint. I had had it elsewhere on the island but it did not compare to the way Palm St Pier prepared it...strongly coconut flavor, bits of coconut in the light batter and 7-8 good sized shrimp done just right. As we were preparing to order, a lady behind me spoke up to say she was eating that and came there on Wednesdays just for that. I hope they offer it on the dinner menu, but until then we will plan on Wednesday lunch at Palm St Pier.
