We've stayed at the Shiner Hillside Guesthouse at least 4-5 times in the past two years. Owners Laura and Gary are the nicest people! Located on a small, gravel county road, it can be a little intimidating to try and get to especially at night, but that quickly disappears once you arrive. Ellie the loveable property dog will run out to greet you and protect you from any little critters that may be scurrying about. Both rooms (Shiner Blonde & Shiner Black!) are cozy and comfortable, with comfy beds, and tiny but nicely equipped bathrooms, The hallway in between the rooms has a small fridge and coffee area stocked with snacks, and every morning you'll wake up to breakfast treats waiting (breakfast tacos, kolaches, etc). The Shiner Black room has enough space to sleep 4 with a sleeper sofa in the adjoining room, and direct access to the kitchen and dining area.
The Shiner Hillside Guesthouse is one of those places where you could sit on the porch swing and sip coffee for hours, do absolutely nothing, and have the best time. Everyone we've suggested it to has loved it!
