“Best Mex You're Gonna Get in Sealy, TX”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Yes, Houston has some of the best Mexican food restaurants anywhere. However, today you might just be in “small-town” Sealy, so Cazadores should be your first and ONLY stop for good Mexican food in this sleepy little town. The Sealy location is #3 of a chain of 4 in the West Houston, Katy area, but don’t let that scare you off, as the food and service are quite good. Prices range from $9 - $15 for most meals, all of which are accompanied by chips and 3 terrific flavored salsas (perhaps the best reason to stop in… seriously!). Also, the tortillas are made in house, right by the front door by a “grumpy little grandma”… and they are delicious. My favorite meal is the “Stuffed Avocado”. My wife likes the “Shrimp a la Plancha” (grilled shrimp). Most of the seafood plates are very nice, but pass on the “Shrimp Tacos”, as the cooks still haven’t figured this one out, hahaha. Anyway, Sealy is a small town with plenty of places to eat, but only two are good... and Cazadores happens to be one of them. Enjoy!

“Service could use a little help”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Food was decent, not amazing. We sometimes go here after tae kwon do events, so we don't show up until around 8:45 pm with a large-ish party (probably 6-8 adults and 6-8 kids) and the service isn't the best. I realize that showing up on the later side with a large party isn't ideal, but since the restaurant is fairly empty and most of the staff appears to be sitting and watching tv at this time, I figured they could at least get the drinks out sooner than 15 minutes after ordering. This seems to be the biggest problem. Once the food comes out, the staff does a good job trying to make sure everyone gets their food. The food tastes average, not bad, not amazing. The stuffed avocados are decent and the spinach quesadillas aren't too bad. The enchiladas are okay also. Sometimes the green sauce tastes old though. All-in-all, we probably wouldn't eat here if it weren't for some people in the group who prefer to eat here, probably because they like Mexican food and this is in a central location.

“As expected”

We were looking for a good Mexican place on our way to San Antonio and this place fit the bill. The taco salads are very good and nice and fresh.

“Awesome food!”

Service a little lacking, but the enchiladas were unbelievable. Three types of hot sauce with the green and "hot" just right that it wasn't too hot. Definitely be back every time in Sealy!!!!!

“nice stop and atmosphere”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

On my way to Cats Springs, my niece and dropped in for supper. The food was very good. Chips and various salsas were excellent. The staff was superb. The atmosphere for after 9 pm was truly a down home experience. I am stopping by this weekend with more family. A PLACE TO BE ENJOYED!
