The food was very good and a little different. BBQ plates are not on the menu which suprised me at first. A little pricey!

Let's face it, Texas has three types of cuisine: Mexican, barbeque, and fast food.

That's why places like CBQ are such a rare treat. It's barbeque, and it's quick, but it's prepared by an inventive, creative chef who obviously loves his art and isn't afraid to venture.

The burgers are done exactly the way you order them, and they have enough of a variety that there's something for everyone. But why just have a burger--be adventurous and order the sweet potato and pulled pork tamales. They're outstanding. Even better with the addition of one of CBQ's house-made salsas.

The place has a rock-n-roll feel, with concert posters lining the walls, and music on the sound system. Chef Chuck regularly walks the dining room to check on the patrons and he'll happily discuss his food creations.

It's great to find a place run with passion.

Originality and great food, the food is fantastic! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The Schertz burger and pulled pork sandwiches are to die for, start there and then explore the others.

Very excited to find this place! The food was great and the staff was pleasant and efficient. We had a burger and a BBQ sandwich - both of which were delicious! The only thing we didn't like was the drink menue -- not the items, they were also great, just the menu itself; it felt really cheezy. Nonetheless, we will definitely be back and you should try it ASAP!!!
