I love spending time at the Power Olympic Outdoor Center! Where else can you spend time with, and learn from, world-class athletes? Ben and Michelle's professionalism and hospitality combine to make the Outdoor Center a family friendly environment that offers top-notch recreation on a beautiful spring-fed river. From my 63-yr old mother-n-law to my 4 yr old son, there is fun for all to be had.
In addition to local fun, I have participated on 3 adventure trips with the P.O.O.C. where I've had the opportunity to paddle some of the most beautiful rivers around.
So if you like the water, and you like to surround yourself with friendly, fun-loving people, head down to San Marcos ASAP!
Sincerely,
DW

I have been kayaking off and on for about 5 years while learning from Ben and Michelle.

The San Marcos river is the perfect place to learn, and the Olympic Outdoor Center has excellent instructors.

Ben and Michelle are amazing. I learned to kayak at their school and have since been on several trips with them. You'll love it.

The instruction is literally the best in the world and you'll experience a whole new type of adventure travel.

5 Stars!!!

I have had the pleasure of experiencing some of the most scenic river paddling in Texas with the help of Ben and Michelle and the Power Olympic Outdoor Center. Great for all levels and experience, I have had my boys on the river learning skills and having a great time on the beautiful San Marcos River. If you have not seen down river from the Rio Vista Whitewater Park via a kayak, you are missing out on some of the best the Hill Country has to offer. The Power Olympic Outdoor Center has a great crew and just about any kind of paddling craft you can imagine.

Best $150 spent - with one hour's notice, Michelle, with the Olympic Training Center, took our 16 yr. daughter and her 18 yr. boyfriend on a guided kayak trip up and down the San Marcos River. Cost was $35 each to rent kayak and equipment and $80 for Michelle's time. The launch was right there in the yard of the center. She gave them a quick but thorough run-down on kayaking. They had to perform a safety run of an overturned kayak escape before proceeding down the river. Michelle offered tips and tidbits about the River during the day. They spent approx. 4 1/2 hours on the river, Michelle was ready for more, but our daughter tired out! We highly recommend their services and our "kids" feel confident enough to kayak on their own the next time we visit. They say that they would like to meet up with Michelle again though, for further instructions.
