The site is very interesting - lots of facts we never knew about Freddy. He was a very generous man. The cemetery is just east of San Benito. Enjoy

Having known this popular singer in the 60's and seeing his museum years after his death plus other singers from the same era and all the accordians they used brings you back to the era that made them popular. Also his grave site in the same town is supper unique and special.

The museum is not just Freddy Fender, it contains information on Texas conjunto music performers. The lady showed 2 videos on Freddy performing and showed pictures. As we were leaving she informed us that a new museum is being built and should be open next year. If you like Freddy's music or conjunto music make this one of your stops.

Very quaint museum with a lot of Freddy Fender memorabilia and a little South Texas history thrown in.
