“This is a piece of San Benito Dulldrum”
Reviewed July 17, 2014 via mobile

It is a waste of time. If your a FF fan then ok. . It's ok. It's not a great deal but it beats being in San Benito with nothing to do. Not like you're going to gain anything but either being there or not. It had nothing to offer other than what you may gain googling. Freddy Fender was an alcoholic musician who made it big and died of liver failure. City is trying to capitalize on his gain. See the burial site.. now that's s big waste of money and time.

“A must for our Children & all family”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

My husband and our 3 kids along w/my silver and 2 nephews popped by on a Monday afternoon and we didn't realize they were only open Thurs-Sat' but given the great down home people that work there they still let us tour! It was wonderful to look and show our children the small city we grew up in and where time was once just a dirt road main street' and being able to teach our kids the history and where we are from. Also the music of our people and how a super star flurrished yes even from El Jardin!! It was a wonderful small museum if you have about an 1hr' stop by and learn the history, see the old photos watch the short video about Freddy Fender, purchase a SB Greyhound shirt!!!

I am a Freddy Fender music fan. Here is a story about a local boy made good. It is a real treat to visit. It gives you a feel for who Freddy was.

“Wasted days and wasted nights.”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

San Benito is a scappy little town where he was from. The museum reflects that. Mostly there were older people who went to school with him telling stories. Boring.
