For the tourist traveler, San Angelo poses two problems: first it's an expensive town full of oil workers, and second the local chain restaurants are packed.
I chose the Best Western when I was staying here because it was the least expensive of all acceptable options. I don't like that rooms open to the outside rather than an interior walkway. It was ok otherwise, the King bed was very comfortable and the internet was fast. Breakfast was ok.
Management offers you a 10% discount coupon at the Texas Roadhouse next door to the hotel. Never mind that since the steakhouse was packed and had a 45 minute wait even on a Wednesday night.More
