There are 87 numbered items on the menu plus 17 house specials along with a lunch buffet (Mon-Fri) and daliy dinner buffets. I went with the dinner buffet and was glad I did. There were so many items to choose from and all the items I tried were piping hot and tasted like they had just been prepared. The staff was very attentive. I appreciated the cloth napkin. I particularly liked that in addition to all the hot items they had fresh fruit-bananas, oranges, cantaloupe and honeydew-the day I was there. In addition to six flavors of ice ceam for dessert there was an amazing array of pastres and cookies.
I know it sounds strange to recommend a Chinese restaurant in a state known for steak, barbeque and Mexican cuisine, but I would definitely go to the China Garden the next time I am in San Angelo.
