Going to Dunbar is like stepping into the past. Great food at a good price. Friendly staff and excellent service.

This place was my grandmothers favorite so it definitely brings back memories. Food is good not great but the rolls are great!! Only problem is they don’t tell you on the menu that they want to try to limit the rolls to 2 per person. We asked for more and the server got an attitude but brought some. When we asked for more we were given an education on how they are supposed to limit them. Well if that is the case when listing the food put 2 rolls instead of rolls. Will continue to eat there on occasion when I need to go back in time.

So old fashioned, got old school wall mounted telephones! Shrimp plate was excellent! Large, meaty shrimp. Great onion rings. Generous portions. Service was also great! Prices were very reasonable.

When you want to go back in time and have some true comfort food, this is where you want to go. My grandpa would take me there after the cow sale, fifty years ago. We would sit at the bar. Try the pie.

Ok. The Dun Bar East is not for the upper crust and word "tenders" might cause the uninitiated some concern, but you can eat good here. If you are dieting, drive on. If you think your in the wrong place because it looks like a roadside motel, you're at the right place. Pie selection is good. Wait staff are country as corn and nice. Order the "tenders", don't mess around.
