This place traces its history back to the Texas frontier. It has been there since the 1800's, under a series of management. We try to stop there almost every time we go to Austin or San Antonio. They don't have a menu, the waitstaff has the menu memorized and can tell you anyting you wnat to know about what is in the dish. Selections are limited, but the food is very good. On the other hand, the choices are eclictic. We had the chice of ever thing from Beef Stougenoff to Chicken fried
The atomosphere is excellent, it seems like you are back in the old stage coach days. But with much better food and air conditioning.
One thing you do need to be arware of. In keeping with the tradtion, drink selections are limited to tea, coffee, and water.
